Directions to Druid Camp

From the North, North Wales & Midlands. Join the M5 Southbound to Gloucester. Exit M5 at J11 onto A40 sign posted Forest of Dean/Ross. At roundabout, take A48 to Chepstow/Cardiff.

Continue through Westbury on Severn. Just after Westbury you’ll go under a railway bridge. After about 200M, at the brow of a hill, take a right turning onto a small road, sign posted Flaxley and Mitcheldean. You come to an S-bend turning right & then left. Just after this, near the end of a wooded area on the right is the gate to the field. There will be some material in the branches to mark the spot.

From London & the East/S.East. Take the M4 to Swindon, exit at J15 on A419 to Cirencester, then A417 to Gloucester. Follow signs for A40 Ross around ring road. After Gloucester at roundabout, take A48 to Chepstow & Cardiff. Then follow directions in paragraph above.

From South West. Take the M5 North to Bristol. Exit J15 on M4 towards Cardiff/Wales. Follow signs for Chepstow M48. Cross Severn bridge, (there is a toll charge). Exit M48 at J2 taking A48 towards Lydney/Gloucester. Continue through Lydney & Blakeney. At the junction with the A4151 on the left to Cinderford you’ll notice a petrol station. A few 100M after this Landmark, at the brow of a hill, turn left on small road, sign posted Flaxley. (B4 Railway bridge tunnel). You come to an S-bend turning right & then left. Just after this, near the end of a wooded area on the right is the gate to the field. There will be some material in the branches to mark the spot.

Alternatively, set your Sat Nav to Postcode GL14 1JQ which takes you to the petrol station, then follow above directions from there.

There has been a major traffic disruption on the Gloucester A40 roundabout recent weekends only. If coming at the weekend, you’ll be diverted and sent a long way around. Approaches through Mitcheldean via Ross and M50 is recommended from the North & Chepstow A48 from the South.
